Update of the infrastructure management plan, second quarter

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – At today’s regular city council meeting, City Manager Peter Zanoni presented city council with the second quarter update on the city’s infrastructure management plan.

This plan includes a list of neighborhoods, arteries and collector streets for street maintenance work to be carried out as part of the City’s street maintenance program. IMP is an ongoing five-year program that focuses on maintaining the streets of Corpus Christi.

City council approved the first two years of the program in October 2020, and in December 2020, city council approved the following fiscal years, from fiscal year 2023 to fiscal year 2025.

Summarizing the results of the first and second quarters of fiscal 2021, a total of 132 projects were either in design, under construction or had been completed. 83 projects were completed for a total of 55.5 miles of track.

During the annual budget process, the PIM will be presented to City Council for review and approval of the street list for fiscal year 2026. Upon adoption of the City’s annual budget, the PMI will be updated on the website City Web.
